![]() If we don't interpret this as meaning political power within the clans, and as actual magic/strength power, again, considering how he's comparable to Bayonetta, this really makes one wonder how strong the Lumen and Umbra could be at their actual peak. Not that he was a powerful sage, but that he had the potential to become powerful. His Hierarchy of Laguna entry, interestingly enough, also states that he "showed promise in becoming a powerful Lumen Sage" before he was exiled. Even in Bayo3 (and while the alternate universe counterparts vary in strength (or just plot armor)), her archive entry states that "her magic power is much stronger that of her daughter, and she could easily level an entire city were she so inclined." Bayo does defeat this mind-controlled alt-universe Rosa, but the same difference in magic power could (and imo probably) also applies to the mainline universe's Rosa.īalder as well, who shows up in Bayo2, matches Bayonetta evenly in all their fights, with their final battle seemingly ending in his favor. One could imagine that without these restraints she would be even stronger than Bayonetta. ![]() Despite this, Rosa is able to fight side by side Bayonetta easily, murdering angels, fighting the Auditio, summoning demons, using Witch Time, etc. Rosa in the second game wears the Robes of Banishing, which suppresses her magic powers, and wields The Unforgiven, guns whose original magic power was completely removed. ![]() I've just recently replayed through the first two games, and it just dawned on me that Bayonetta arguably isn't even the strongest Witch we've seen on screen.
